About
Voice and text agents were the first product. The harder one is everything behind them: accounting, payments, rental applications with fraud and income checks, procurement and invoicing, built as one AI-native system for running a property. That is where most engineers now work.
This is a late-stage, well-funded AI company growing above 100% year on year. Engineering sits in pods of three to five, each owning a product line end to end. Several of those products are still at zero-to-one.
The hard part is financial workflows where a wrong AI output moves real money, so checking what the model produces matters as much as shipping fast. The pace is intense and the office is five days a week. Scope is broad from day one.
What you'll do
- Build and ship full-stack features across new product lines, from data model and API to interface
- Own a product area inside a small pod, from first spec to production
- Turn messy operational workflows, such as invoicing and rental applications, into software people trust
- Integrate LLM-based agents into product flows, with checks on what they produce
- Design APIs and services that handle payments and financial data reliably
- Ship quickly, then iterate on feedback from customers and the rest of the pod
What you'll need
- 2+ years of production experience in TypeScript and React, and 2+ years in Python
- Solid backend and frontend work, with end-to-end ownership of what you ship
- Time at a startup or scale-up. Big tech is fine if the move to a smaller team was deliberate
- A clear method for checking AI-generated output, in your own code and in the product
- Comfort with open-ended problems and requirements that change mid-task
- On-site in New York or San Francisco, five days a week
